Butt Implant

As a second preferred option for butt augmentation. Butt implant is applied for patients who dream of a more dramatic proportions and reshape of their buttocks. Also for patients who desire undergoing Brazilian butt lift but they are very thin. So they don’t have enough body fat in the donor areas to extract from by liposuction.

The material used for butt implant is semi solid silicone implants. Specially made for the buttocks.

Butt implant procedure

During butt implant surgery, the surgeon will recommend either local anesthesia with sedation, or general anesthesia.

The surgeon then makes an incision in both of the gluteal creases toward the bottom (between the cheeks). Then he inserts the silicone into the incisions. There are many ways of silicone positioning. The first is sub-muscular insertion, where the implant is placed under the gluteus maximus muscle. The second is intramuscular insertion, and the third is above the gluteal muscle.

Experts recommend the sub-muscular positioning, because the implant is protected with more soft tissues (muscles and fatty tissue). Also, it helps reducing the visibility and palpability of the implant.

Surgeons may combine fat grafting with the implant to soften the final shape and the appearance of the buttock.

At the end, the surgeon will close the incisions with multiple layer sutures, as it involves many buttock’s soft tissues. And will close skin incisions with surgical tape or sutures.

Recovery after butt implant surgery

After the surgery, the patient must strictly lay on the chest. Sleeping on the back is completely forbidden during the first two weeks after the surgery. Same as sitting and bending positions, only when using the bathroom. A sitting protocol will start gradually after two weeks. Meanwhile, the patient must follow these instructions strictly to avoid any possible complications. Such as bleeding, implant malpositioning and incisions reopening.

Full activities resumption may wait up to two months.
